Official unemployment in Russia will not exceed 1.45mn people in 2012, Deputy Healthcare and Social Development Minister Maxim Topilin said.

Unemployment almost fell to its pre-crisis level at the end of last year, he added.

Although the government is not going to close its programs to support employment, these programs will be essentially focused on the socially vulnerable, the official said.
