Visteon ups its stake in Visteon Avtopribor

Visteon Corporation, a U.S.-based global au­tomotive parts company spun off from the Ford Motor Company in 2000, enlarged its stake in the Russian entity of Visteon Avtopribor Elec­tronics from 49 percent to 68.77 percent. When the transaction is concluded, the company will be the holder of a majority interest in the big­gest manufacturer of auto electronic products within Russia.

Visteon Avtopribor is an enterprise owned by the U.S.-based Visteon Corporation and Avtopribor, which is the biggest manufacturer of car electronics in Russia. The joint company began its operations in the summer of 2010. The company’s headquarters are located in the city of Vladimir. The main clients of the company are Fiat, Ford, GAZ, Kamaz, Nissan Renault, and VAZ.

Avtopribor is one of the chief producers of car parts in Russia that manufactures dash­boards, sensors and indicators, wiper systems, as well as other auto components. Both do­mestic producers and foreign manufacturers operating their production lines in Russia are Avtopribor’s clients.

Visteon Corporation is a producer of vehicle components. The company specializes in de­signing electrical systems and equipment for temperature control and lighting. The com­pany’s office in the United States is located in Michigan. Visteon is also present in more than 25 countries worldwide.
