On September 23, 2020, Lukoil shared its successful experience in integrating digital technologies into hydrocarbon production with Russian experts and businessmen at the 11th Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum. The project to digitize the company’s production offers integrated field models that enable the management of oil and gas facilities to be optimized. These digital models contribute to the efficient production of hydrocarbons in the fields of the Bolshevik basin (Yamal-Nenets autonomous district) and the Yuzhno-Yagunskoye field (Khanty-Mansi autonomous district, Yugra), where an integrated operations center has been established. Similar centers are being built at the production facilities of Povkhneftegaz and Pokachevneftegaz in Western Siberia.

The largest model in Russia to date, the Yuzhno-Yagunskoye Integrated Field Model, recognized as the best IT project in the country’s oil and gas industry, ranks among the top three in the number of the parameters measured (approximately fourteen thousand).

The development of digitization was the main topic of the plenary session of the forum “Future today: New industrial horizons,” which was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation. Lukoil also shared its insights into the implementation of federal environmental plans, energy efficiency programs, and innovative technologies for the development of highly porous and difficult-to-extract deposits.

This year’s Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum is a hybrid event offering its five thousand attendees the benefit of in-person and online meetings.
