The Tatneft Group produced 2,104 thousand tons of crude oil in September, and the production volume since the beginning of the year amounted to 19,548 thousand tons, which was 2,803.7 thousand tons less than in the same period of 2019.

Tatneft’s production in September amounted to 2,078 thousand tons of crude oil, and the company’s production since the beginning of the year amounted to 19,307 thousand tons (a decrease of 2,799 thousand tons compared to the corresponding period of 2019). Tatneft’s production from license areas outside Tatarstan amounted to 25,000 tons in September and since the beginning of the year to 240.7 thousand tons, a decrease of 4.05 thousand tons compared to the corresponding production volume in 2019. The production volume of high-viscosity oil in September was 284.9 thousand tons and since the beginning of the year 2,468 thousand tons, which is 501.1 thousand tons more than the volume for the corresponding period of 2019.

New drilling

447 new wells were built and delivered to customers in September (520 wells in 2019), including 409 production wells, seven exploration wells, and 31 wells in bitumen deposits.

Active well drilling

In the nine months of 2020, 12 wells in the sidetrack and horizontal drilling category were delivered to customers.

Well drilling outside Tatarstan

To date, the construction of two wells for Tatneft-Samara OOO in the Samara region has been completed, including production well no. 347 and exploration well no. 302, while the completion and testing of exploration well no. 33 for Tatneft-Samara OOO is underway. Completion and testing of well no. 5 of the Tibeyvisski field in the Nenets autonomous district are underway as well.

Well repair 

In the nine months, repair and inspection teams performed basic well maintenance on 6,876 wells at Tatneft sites (748 wells in September 2020), while revision work was carried out on 1,536 wells (183 wells in September). Formation hydrocracking operations have been conducted at 321 wells (one well in September). Crude oil has been extracted from 866 wells (38 wells in September).

JSC TANECO production capacity

The TANECO refinery and petrochemical plant complex processed 961.3 thousand tons of raw materials in September and 9,074.3 thousand tons since the beginning of the year. The quantity of raw materials processed in September amounted to 839.9 thousand tons. The figure processed since the beginning of the year stands at 8,606.4 thousand tons. TANECO oil refineries and petrochemical plants and complexes produced 821.9 thousand tons of petroleum products in September 2020, with fuel production totaling 87.7 thousand tons in September (919.3 thousand tons since the beginning of the year) and diesel production totaling 181.4 thousand tons (2,508.7 thousand tons since the beginning of the year).
