Dixy Group increased revenue by 15.2% in January 2016

In January 2016, Dixy Group increased its revenue by 15.2 percent to RUB23.473 billion (USD344 million) from RUB20.367 billion (USD299 billion) the year before, the company reported.

 

Revenues of the Dixy-brand component of the holding group increased by 17.1 percent to RUB19.032 billion (USD279 million) from RUB16.251 billion (USD238 million). The revenues generated by Victoria stores went up by 14 percent to RUB3.076 billion (USD45 million) from RUB2.698 billion (USD40 million).

 

A multi-business holding company Mercury Group owns a controlling 54.4-percent stake in Dixy Group.

 

As of January 31, 2016, Dixy managed 2,710 stores, including 2,564 Dixy corner stores, 109 Victoria stores, one Cash store, and 36 Megamart and Minimart compact hypermarkets.

 

The IFRS net losses of Dixy Group for the first nine months of 2015 were RUB36 million (USD0.528 million), against a profit of RUB3.16 billion (USD46 million) the year before. Revenues increased by 19.8 percent to RUB197.418 billion (USD2.897 billion) from RUB164.858 billion (USD2.419 billion), and gross profits by 14.5 percent to RUB57.165 billion (USD839 million) from RUB49.919 billion (USD733 million). Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (“EBITDA”) decreased by 20.2 percent to RUB9.357 billion (USD137 million) from RUB11.732 billion (USD172 million).

 

The net losses of Dixy Group for the third quarter of 2015 amounted to RUB843 million (USD12.381 million), against a profit of RUB1.195 billion (USD18 million) the year before. Revenues increased by 13.7 percent to RUB65.799 billion (USD966 million) from RUB57.895 billion (USD850 million). Gross profits rose by 8.1 percent to RUB18.854 billion (USD277 million) from RUB17.442 billion (USD256 million). The EBITDA decreased by 41.3 percent to RUB2.547 billion (USD37 million) from RUB4.335 billion (USD64 million).

 

According to AK&M Information Agency’s DataCapital information retrieval system, the RAS net profits of Dixy Group for the first nine months of 2015 grew 1.7 times to RUB14.25 billion (USD209 million) from RUB8.329 billion (USD122 million) the year before.

 

Revenues decreased by 36 percent to RUB2.498 billion (USD37 million) from RUB3.889 billion (USD57 million). Gross profits increased by 60 percent to RUB2.498 billion (USD37 million) from RUB1.561 billion (USD23 million). Pre-tax profits rose 1.7 times to RUB14.585 billion (USD214 million) from RUB8.526 billion (USD125 million).
