The builders of the Yakutskaya state district power plant no. 2 have completed the installation of the gas boosting station, a critically important piece of equipment required for the operation of turbines, according to a statement made by RusHydro’s press service.
With the launching of operations in February 2017, the power engineers will proceed to test run the gas-turbine units. The gas boosting station is intended for boosting gas pressure before the gas is fed to the gas-turbine units.
The Yakutskaya SDPP-2 (phase one) is one of the four projects in RusHydro’s investment program to build new power facilities in the Far East implemented in association with the RAO Energy System of the East, according to a decree by the Russian President. The electrical capacity of
phase one of the new state district power station is 193 MW, and the thermal capacity is 469 Gcal/h. The new power plant will replace the retired capacities of the Yakutskaya SDPP, build up a capacity reserve, and increase the reliability of electricity supplies to consumers. The project’s owner and developer is Yakutskaya SDPP-2, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of RusHydro, currently managed by RAO Energy System of the East. The general contractor for the project is HPC Mosenergo.
