Parker Bestobell Marine has won a USD5-million order from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) to supply cryogenic valves for nine Arctic liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.
Parker Bestobell Marine will be responsible for supplying cryogenic globe and check valves for the carriers, which are part of a series of fifteen LNG carriers for deployment at Russia’s Yamal gas field.
Parker Bestobell Marine already holds a contract to deliver its equipment for six more LNG carriers. Each of the 15 icebreaker carriers will be designed to transport 170,000 cubic meters of LNG.
