Russia still not planning sovereign bonds in yuan in December

The Russian Finance Ministry is not planning to enter the market with a new instrument, the yuan-denominated bonds, until well into 2017. “Sovereign bonds in the yuan currency are not planned for this year,” an aide to the Finance Minister Svetlana Nikitina told reporters on December 15, 2016.

GlobalCapital reported earlier that the yuan-denominated bond deal might be launched on December 22.
